Currents Combined

Sonja wrote this song a while back, and recorded a quick demo on, well, a brick, by the sound of it, with multiple voices layered in a somewhat improvised manner. A few months ago, I consolidated and transcribed the recorded voices, and added an organ accompaniment. We then recorded the song in our new home studio, while still figuring out exactly how to record a song. We did everything by ourselves, including mixing and mastering, and it took us way too long because we learned as we went. In the end, I think we did a fine job, considering we're mostly complete beginners in this area. Sonja drew the cover art, which you can enjoy on our t-shirts (check out our Merch page). We decided to make the song and sheet music freely available under the Creative Commons license, so check out our Music page for the free download!
